Chia-Wei Lee/ Freelance Curator

Hello, welcome to my curator diary.

I major in BA Art History and Curating at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University.

Influenced by the British culture during my study, I usually combine my Taiwanese nationality and European culture in my practice. As a final year student, I would like to develop my future career in the art museum and gallery industry.

Curatorial gallery practice is one of my greatest passions; throughout my education, I have been interested in the idea of art as a community and audience’s involvement in addition to international biennials and art fairs. With my education, work experiences and significant passion for art, I have dedicated myself to various artistic projects. In fact, working as a group, my partners and I are currently working on a one-week long programme which will take place in early May 2019 at Tate Exchange Liverpool.

This website aims to document my previous experiences and researches which are also available on my Instagram platform (@minniecwl). In addition, I am interested in curatorial practices in relation to the aesthetic of everyday life. In order to develop on my career goal, I have undertaken a multitude of positions from gallery volunteer to placement which allows me to work closely with professionals. (Details available in below CV)

Please do not hesitate to contact me for any enquiry. I am glad to participate with different practice. All the best.
